4 Structure of Regional Development Concepts
4.1 Structure and Content of RDC / LDS
A central instrument for orientation in Regional Management is the Regional Development Concept (RDC) or Local Development Strategy (LDS). Being more and more required, e.g. for the application to European Development Programmes like LEADER+ or others, the elaboration and implementation of such a strategy reveals other important advantages. It gives a region the chance to define itself, invite and integrate all those who are actively engaged and look for new and innovative ways to strengthen its own socio-economic environment - without being dominated and controlled by higher political and administrative levels. |
