Private brewery schlepzig

Dr. Torsten Römer
The final stage was a private brewery in Schlepzig, combined with a beer hall/restaurant and also including a small hotel.

The owner, Dr. Römer, first showed us his “willow dome“, a natural “church“ building constructed by specially tied willow branches. He explained, that this idea, although it consumed quite some work, already paid off several times because of the advertising effects in different media, including several TV stations.

Then Dr. Römer explained the brewing and destilling facilities, giving an impressive example of creating an expanding business as the result of his visions and managerial capacities.

The field trip ended with the testing of local products in this case not cucumbers but a good Spreewald beer while having an excellent and rich lunch.
