
Example “unser land“

The third example of regional marketing dealt with the regional marketing initiative UNSER LAND. It is located in Southern Germany and covers ten districts around the city of Munich.

Uwe explained how a private initiative managed to bring producers, processors and consumers together and established an interesting and very successful regional development process. The initial idea was to build on the quality of products, the identity of a region and to build a chain of trust and a solid network between the stakeholders including church and politicians – but not for funds, only for the empowerment of the people themselves.
