In addition, Uwe presented another example of promoting “regions“: activities undertaken in the District of Cham, Bavaria.

An important Project to strengthen regional identity and at the same time promote the District of Cham is a comprehensive communication strategy, composed by two elements:

  1. A strong regional “umbrella” brand serves for a broad range of regional promotion activities.
  1. The “Ambassador Strategy” involves key stakeholders from administration, business and civil society in an active promotion of the district whenever they go outside their home district or receive visitors in their respective businesses.
