Representatives from SMEs, consulting companies, industry institutions, ministries and universities were trained through EMA Training Seminarsbased on the proven Project Casework action training approach (PCW). There were two types of computer based trainings, EMAbasics for EMA newcomers and EMA advanced for participants of previous EMA training seminars and EMAbasics.
The two-week Training of Trainers (TOT) Seminars were conducted by EMA trainers of CSM who were actively supported by ASEP´s resource persons. The participants of this professional education program were selected participants of the EMA Training Workshops and of the Computer Based Trainings. The goal of the TOT seminars was to train environmental professionals from different institutions in various countries who are able to make appropriate decisions on environmental issues taking account of specific local conditions, constraints, and resources.
The participants of TOT Seminars act as EMA trainers and consultants in South-East Asia. They train and advice business people in using EMA for improving their environmnetal and financial performance. The multipliers transfer relevant EMA knowledge and skills to interested companies through on-site training sessions. They also offer further EMA Training Seminars for wider dissemination in Asian business communities. In the beginning of this process EMA trainers and resource persons of ASEP and CSM coached the local trainers to ensure a high quality of further trainings and succesful EMA implementation.
