InWEnt gGmbH 4th E-learning Seminar
From Policy to Practice
November 4th and 5th, 2004 in Bonn, Germany

The aim of the fourth InWEnt e-learning seminar is to stimulate and strengthen discussion and exchange on the subject of e-learning in development policy between international organisations and researchers in the development sector. The seminar combines short key-note addresses, with plenty of opportunity for participants to work together in small groups to discuss ways of turning policy into appropriate and relevant practice. It is being organised collaboratively with the ICT for Development collective at Royal Holloway, University of London.

What is it about?

InWEnt’s previous three e-learning seminars have addressed internal issues on ICT policy, learning management systems, content development and instructional design. The two central purposes of this fourth seminar are:
  • To bring together leading international experts to share their experience of the practical implementation of e-learning in developing countries with colleagues in InWEnt and other participants (from within the field of German Development Cooperation) involved in delivering e-learning solutions; and

  • To build on these experiences to shape InWEnt’s future practical delivery of e-learning programmes.

Who is it for?

  • InWEnt and our partners who have gained experience with e-learning and GC21,

  • Experts from international organisations interested in working with InWEnt in order to implement e-learning solutions

  • Professionals and practitioners from InWEnt, GTZ and KFW and the international development community in e-learning.

What will you gain?

  • Exchange of ideas and experiences of e-learning in development co-operation

  • New first-hand information about international e-learning solutions from practitioners in the field

  • E-learning perspectives and orientations from international stakeholders

  • Documentation on best practices highlighted during the seminar
