GIZ programmes are demand driven and implemented jointly with our regional or national partner organisations from government, parastatal water utilities, the private sector and civil society. Ownership by our partners in the MENA region, harmonisation with other ongoing activities, and the alignment with partner countries or organisation policies are most important elements when we design and implement capacity building programmes. We act on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in close cooperation with our German development partners.
